Helping Beckie at Just B Creative Crazy and Praying for Marisa!

I am so blessed to be able
to share blogs
with my sweet Blend
Beckie of Just B Creative Crazy
again today.

A lot of times when I think of Beckie, I think
of all the cards she has made
that are Uplifting and Put a Smile on your Face!

I only hope that she is experiencing ALL positive "side effects"
during her move.
Hugs Beckie!!!

Today I am also blessed to take part in
a Card Drive that I found on a
friend from HS's Facebook Wall!
Thanks Shalin for announcing this today!
The cards will
be mailed to a sweet young
girl by the name of
Marisa Kay
at the Akron Children's Hospital.
Please feel free to visit
Marisa's FB page to read more
about her unique story

your Get Well Wishes!

Akron Children's Hospital eCard

And here is my
card to send to this sweet little girl!

The card was created using the following:

Sun image - Unity KOM {FOLLOW your own}
TH Distress Ink (Barn Door)
fussy cut and reduced size to fit in corner of card
Whale - Create A Critter cartridge (2 1/2")

Waves - created using a broken piece of a wooden doll house (my kids demolished it, but I knew I would find a use for the roof top pieces...LOL)
Bow - Twinery Twine (charcoal)

This card was made for the sole purpose of helping others!
No challenges will be entered with this card, but it is sure
to make me feel like a winner, knowing

All who wander are not lost . . . using 3 Girl JAM Crinkle Ribbon

Happy Tuesday Crafty Blends!!!

Today is my day to share
the fun I had
playing with my
3 Girl JAM Crinkle Ribbon!!!

I truly can't believe that
the entire month of May
has flown by so quickly.
With the month of June upon our doorsteps,
I begin to think of Summer Fun.
Kids laughing and playing in the sprinkler,
Bike Rides, Picnics in the Park,
Relaxing days at the beach . . .

With that in mind, I played with some
fun summery colors on this card.  I stepped out of my comfort
zone a little with the color palette I worked with, but
all in all, I feel that I captured my summer idea.

I hope you enjoy peeking at it!

I used the wonderful
Ice Blue, Sunflower Yellow, and Holly Berry
3 Girl JAM crinkle ribbon

And, if you need to stock up
on all your favorite colors
place an order today!

I also enjoyed inking up some Unity Stamps that
I hadn't gotten to use yet.
I used:
Bicycle - Aug 2009 KOM following my heart
Bicycle background - Apr 2012 KOM {FOLLOW your own}
Sentiment - Travel Notes by Simple Stories

Helping out My Sweet Blend Beckie - Just B Creative Crazy

I simply ADORE all of my wonderful
here in Crafty Blog Land!

and I connected a while ago,
and I am honored to call her my dear Friend
as well as my sweet Blend!

When she asked if I would interested
in helping
her keep her Blog Breathing
during a move she embarking
on, I didn't hesitate to say YES!!!

I really feel bad that she can't get to her crafty
supplies right now, and when I received this
wonderful Itty Bitty stamp from
another sweet Blend~Jessica Esch

 I knew instantly
that I would use it to create a card
for sweet Beckie!

The card was created by cutting
an 8 1/2x11 piece of card stock
to measure 5 1/2 x 4 1/4
(scored and folded along the 5 1/2 width)
Then I cut the dp to measure 5 1/4 x 4
I stamped the balloon image then heat embossed with white powder
The sentiment is stamped on white card stock using

and I am so Happy to have met her.
She is super uber talented and
always fun to talk to.
She is a regular visitor at my blog and FB page

and a DT sister on the 3 Girl JAM Design Team.

Well, she was shopping online after a fun win she had and
took it upon herself to order me some Itty Bitty stamps by Unity because
she knows how fanatical I am about their products.
This was a "Just Because" gesture
and I was so emotional over her kindness and generosity
that I cried!

THANK YOU SO MUCH "The Other Jessica"
I LOVE that little glittery and cute!!!

First up, I am going to give you a series of questions
and links all around The Shaque.
You will have to "I Spy" the answers on the pages I link you too and
there will be the need to investigate a little on your own!
To be sure you are in the right spot,
you should see this picture on each post!

Once you have gathered all of your answers,
email them to me
at strgazrblueyes22477{at}yahoo{dot} com
I will be sure to send an email back to you to confirm I have received your answers.

If you send me an email and are worried that I have not responded back and it
may have not went through...let me know in the comments :O)

For every correct answer in the "I Spy" game, you
will earn 2 entries towards
Celebration Blog Candy Giveaway!

Here are the
"I Spy"

1.  Back in March 2011, I completed a Heritage Collage to honor
a noteworthy person that fell in my ancestral lineage.
Who is that noteworthy person?

2.  I have a large family and each year we enjoy our Family Reunion.
I completed a layout in May 2011
to showcase all of the family members that attended in the year 2008.
As of the time the photos in the layout were taken,
How many children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren did my mother have?

3.  I enjoy delving into many different techniques, art projects, and home decor.
I love to make wreaths as often as time allows.
I did a search of my own blog to be sure you would get the answer I get.....
Out of all the projects that are pulled up when I searched my blog for WREATH,
How many wreaths do you see?
(be sure to click on Newer Posts at the bottom of the page to see more)

4.  If you know me at all, you know how much I love Unity.  So when you click on the tag/label on my sidebar that says Unity Stamps, scroll through the projects that are shown
and tell me the Post Title of your personal favorite project!
[No Link Provided...I can't make the game TOO EASY   :o)  ]
I have added the fun "I Spy" Picture for your ease in finding the Labels section

 5.  I MOST enjoy GIVING, but like any other crafter who gets an opportunity to win fun craft goodies, I am delighted to find out I have been chosen as a winner.  Whether it be during a Blogaversary giveaway, a Follower Appreciation giveaway, a Craft Challenge, or any
other type of drawing.
To show my appreciation I do a series on MONDAYS (when, and if, it applies)
to shout out to the wonderful Sponsors of the Challenges and Giveaways.
What is the name of this MONDAY installment series at my blog?
Be sure to provide the full name!!!
(No Link Provided . . . get your thinking caps on!!!!)

6.  Referring again to question #5, peek through all of those MONDAY posts.
Tell me the name of a Challenge Blog, Site or Sponsor you are
just now hearing about for the first time from viewing these posts?

7.  Did you visit the Challenge Blog, Site or Sponsor by clicking any given link
in the post?  If so, tell me one thing about their site that you most enjoy  and do you think
you will you return to their site again?

This concludes the "I Spy" game and remember, most of all

For the second part of the Celebration, I am hosting
a Crafty Challenge!!!

As you are playing "I Spy", be sure to
make a personal note if you come across a past project of
mine that inspires you to create.
After all, it is my goal to have my creations inspire others to get crafty!!!
If you don't see anything during the game, feel free to peek about my blog, use the labels, do a search at the top toolbar of my blog, and find something that does inspire you.

So here is the Crafty Challenge!!!
Create a project inspired by one of my past or present creations
(choose anything: a card, layout, altered item, tag, 3D, etc.)
and link it below for
5 extra entries
the Celebration Blog Candy Giveaway!

I will give you one extra entry if you leave a comment telling me
the Title of the Post or Give me the Link to the Post
 that INSPIRED your project!

The deadline to send your
"I Spy" answers
and to link your projects
for the
Crafty Challenge
May 18, 2012
That gives you two weeks to play along
and join in the fun!

Be sure to leave as many comments as you desire so that I can keep an eye
on all the traffic during the fun Celebration.

The only comment that will be counted towards entries in the
giveaway will be those that you leave
to tell me the title of the post or link to the post
that inspired you for the challenge!

Extra Entries
can be earned for
any Referrals you send to my blog or FB Fan Page between
May 1st and May 18th
(when someone says YOU sent them my way),
One Entry for each referral.

All ENTRIES from the Celebration Poll,
Referrals, the I Spy Game, and the Crafty Challenge
will be combined for a total.
The person with
the most ENTRIES wins!
In the event of a tied number of entries,
I will assign a number
to each person within the tie breaker
and let
choose the winner!

My 400 follower celebration ends in a little over 48 hours . . .
Click HERE to join in the fun
and to try
in winning
a Grand Prize, 2nd Place Prize, or 3rd Place Prize

After completing a lot of layouts for the
Spellbinders Paper Arts
to benefit
Crops of Luv,

I decided to change it back up
and finish a card tonight.

I was inspired to use
Joan's Sketch

and to use the current theme for the
#4 Challenge ~ Butterflies and Handmade Flowers

I chose a black and purple theme that
coordinated with my butterfly dp.

The scallop "banners" were cute using a cut from Lacy Labels.

Unity Stamps that I used include:
(for the center of my hand made flower/inside the bottle cap)

sentiment from {Ippity} set BE BRAVE...BRANCH OUT
inked on vellum and then heat embossed

and some foliage/berries from the{Ippity} set Where You Should Be
inked and heat embossed

I created it in several layers
 (for the bottle cap center)
1. cutting a 3/4" circle from Lacy Labels
2. inking it with a soft lilac Studio G ink
3. stamping the flower and embossing it with black powder
4. adding the small black pearl
5. spraying a mist of Perfect Pearls
6. gluing the circle to a bottle cap
7. adding a bit of alcohol ink (peridot)

8. adhering the bottle cap to the white cirlce (1")
9. using my MS Scroll Lace corner punch to create the petals

around the perimeter of the white circle

10. adhering those layers to a purple circle (2")
then to another white circle (2 1/4")
11. The outside "petals" were created by twisting
of the last white circle.

I hope you enjoy my creation!
Thanks for visiting

****Friends with Flair Friday****

Today I am sharing a layout I finished yesterday
a little inspiration help from the Outlawz - TT Bingo Challenge
I wanted to try for a full card, but opted to stop before I
used "Too Much"
my row: Punches/Die Cuts; Design Paper; Distress Inks/Inks

I used card stock by Darice and Recollections,
Quick Quotes Scrapbook Company Cherry Truffle dp,
3 Girl JAM Crinkle Ribbon (Ice Blue, Cherry Lipstick, and Sunflower Yellow) for the spider roses and the Chevron Canvas Strip behind the title is also a product available at 3 Girl JAM

The large die cut shapes were cut using my Cricut Cartridge - Lacy Labels.

I used Black Archival Ink by Ranger on all the stamping.

These pictures were taken during our fun Girl's Trip to Akron, OH for the Adventures in Stamping show
and during our visit to Erica's Room!!!
So much fun!!!
I also want to add that I used the same technique from Becky Fleck of PageMaps that she featured at Scrapbook & Cards Today.
And of course I used Lots and Lots of stamps from Unity Stamp Company
Sun and circle words:  April 2012 {FOLLOW your own} KOM
